This downtown Detroit engagement photography session was about capturing Paola and Jay's unique bond as they prepare for their upcoming wedding. The couple, who are getting married in Puerto Rico this spring, had a blast exploring the Detroit Institute of Arts and walking around Downtown Detroit. Paola and Jay's engagement was fun and light-hearted, just like they are!
The couple's goofy and loving personalities were displayed with silly poses and romantic embraces during their session. From laughing out loud to sharing sweet moments, Paola and Jay showed that their love for each other is strong and will only get stronger as they prepare to tie the knot soon. I love spending time with my couples and getting to know them while we photograph. We bonded over our love of all things food and our silly pups! As I admired Paola’s gorgeous ring, I also heard about Jay’s proposal in Sedona, Arizona.
Not only were Paola and Jay a blast to photograph, but it was also a beautiful evening! May in Detroit is the perfect time to capture the city's beauty. It was a lively evening, with some light breeze, sunny skies, and lots of giggling and laughing.
After photographing in the sunshine at the DIA, we ventured downtown, and they also got to enjoy some of BESA's perfect cocktails! We finished our time together by walking through Campus Martius to Parker's Alley near Shinola.
Congratulations to Paola and Jay! I’m so excited for you both and wish you the best as you marry your best friend.
