Emily + Alex | Oakland University Engagement Session | Metro Detroit Engagement Photographer

Updated: Jul 21, 2022

It was a beautiful, warm fall day filled with sunshine and changing leaves. For Emily and Alex's engagement session, we went back to where it all began, Oakland University. More specifically, we started at Fitzgerald House, affectionately known as Fitz, where they met in college. Emily and Alex would often study in the lounge and after talking during their study sessions, they became friends, and are now obviously more than that!

I met Emily at Oakland University as well when we joined Tri Sigma. It was great to reconnect since we graduated over four years ago, which is hard to believe! I loved meeting Alex and watching them interact. They're a sweet, fun-loving couple, and their session was filled with lots of laughter. As we walked around OU, we talked about their dog, their proposal story, and their wedding plans as we stopped by their favorite spots on campus, including the infamous Elliot clock tower.

I loved hearing about how their proposal happened! Alex picked out the ring and proposed on their boat, that he purchased that same week. I was amazed! It sounded like an absolutely beautiful proposal. He proposed on the water, and these two will be celebrating their marriage, near the water, in Port Huron in the summer!

I can't wait to document Emily and Alex's wedding at the Ballroom at CityFlatsHotel in August!

All my love,
