Exactly one year before Beth and Luke say I do, I met them near their home in Traverse City for their engagement photographs. After enjoying some tacos and drinks at their favorite local spot Barrio, we headed out to Mission Point Lighthouse. Luke proposed at Mission Point so it was the perfect location for their session. Besides it being sentimental and beautiful, it's also the halfway point between the North Pole and the Equator on the 45th parallel. How cool is that!?
Before heading to the beach where Luke proposed, we walked along the hiking travels, laughing and catching up. We went to college together and it was fun to reminisce back on those good ol' days. The sun setting behind the lighthouse was the perfect backdrop for these two and they fully embraced every interaction I prompted them with. Luke even enthusiastically nuzzled noses!
We ended on the beach as the sunset and went back to the exact spot Luke proposed. I loved hearing about their proposal story and learning about all the little details that lead them to where they are today. Being such a fun-loving couple, we finished their session in the water. Beth and Luke are no strangers to the water and they concluded their engagement photographs with a hilarious water fight.
Next year they're getting married at Blue Bridge and I cannot wait to document their wedding. Until then, keep chasing sunsets, my friends.
All my love,
