BRITTANY + STEVE | CHERRY CREEK GOLF COURSE WEDDING | DETROIT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Brittany and Steve’s wedding at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Cherry Creek Golf Course was a great celebration of love and a fun celebration with friends and family! As with many couples planning their wedding, it was a roller coaster of emotions, date changes, and modifying plans. As Steve and Brittany mentioned in their speech at the wedding, when they looked at their wedding day and thought about what it would be like, they decided that the most important thing was the sacrament of marriage. They were focused on their marriage above their wedding. And luckily, they were still able to have their wedding and reception with friends and family.

When these two met 8 years ago, they hit it off right away! One of Steve’s friends even mentioned “you will get married” and he was right! When I was documenting them it was clearly evident that their love runs deep and they truly care for one another. Before their ceremony, they were both excited to see each other for the first time as Brittany walked down the aisle. Brittany’s dad walked his last daughter down the aisle and you can tell from their emotions that it was a big moment! The Sacrament of Marriage was absolutely beautiful! At the end of their ceremony, their wedding party surrounded them and blessed them. It was truly a special moment to witness.

After their ceremony at St. Joseph’s, these two were ready to start the party! They jumped onto the party bus with their wedding party and headed over to Cherry Creek. When they arrived, we walked to the greens for some photographs before the reception began. Being a pandemic wedding and all, they wore their matching masks for some photos and even cracked Coronas to toast because even with all their challenges, they made it! They both had such an upbeat attitude.

They entered the reception with a grand arrival, running through their wedding party’s handmade tunnel to greet their guests. Before dinner, Brittany’s sisters, the Matron’s of Honor, gave a combined speech, and let me tell you, it was incredible! They rapped the best song for Brittany and Steve and you can tell by their reaction in the photographs that they were surprised and overjoyed!

After dinner as the sunset behind the clouds, Brittany and Steve swayed back and forth to “Prayed For You” for their first dance and their friends and family watched. Brittany and Steve were excited to have fun with the people they love on their wedding day, and they did just that! Brittany especially had a blast on the dance floor and even got behind the DJ booth with DJ Seth Michaels!

It was a huge celebration with a slightly smaller guest list, but nonetheless, they had an amazing wedding! So, cheers to you, Brittany and Steve!

All my love,
