Steph and Billy were officially married last year in an intimate backyard ceremony, which you can read all about here. I was so honored to be there documenting their day this year as they were finally able to celebrate with all their friends and family! Steph started her day getting ready with her mom and bridesmaids before heading off to meet Billy at Waldenburg Park for their first look. They wore casual attire last year, so this was their first glimpse seeing each other in their planned wedding dress and suit. It was sweet and emotional to capture as they soaked in the moment together. Steph also had a special and emotional first look with her Dad. It was truly beautiful to witness and document.

We then headed over with the bridal party to Sycamore Hills to have some fun before Steph and Billy made their grand entrance to see all of their guests for dinner and dancing. Since they had their ceremony last year, this year focused on having a formal reception with family and friends. Billy's mom made all the florals and centerpieces for the special occasion and the room looked beautiful. Steph's Dad said a blessing and prayer for dinner. While his words were powerful and heartfelt, the moment that made me the most emotional was seeing her grandparents holding hands during prayer. My husband and I hold hands during prayer and it was such a precious moment to witness. After dinner, the couple enjoyed a stunning first dance as the bright, golden sun streamed through the windows. Afterward, they invited everyone to the dancefloor to surround them for a special dance together.

As they danced, the sunset illuminated the dance floor. The sky was stunning shades of orange and pink, which was the perfect backdrop for some portraits. Steph and Billy snuck away for a few minutes to enjoy the summer sunset together and take a stroll before heading back for more dancing. Those quiet moments are always my favorite. I am so glad that Steph and Billy finally had the chance to celebrate with family and friends and wish them all the best as they enjoy married life together!
