Jenna and Adam's love story began in college at Oakland University and that is right where we started their wedding day. For a summer wedding in August, we could not have asked for a better day. The beautiful sunshine with a light breeze kept us cool as we took a walk down memory lane, literally, back to where it all began.
The bride and groom met on their first day of classes at Oakland University and from their friendship budded a beautiful love story. After moving to D.C. together and taking on law school in Minnesota together, these two have dreamt of this day for a long time.
We started beneath the bell tower at OU for the first look. It was important to them both to incorporate as much of the once-upon-a-time part of their story as possible into their day. We walked over to Varner Hall, where they first met years ago, to recreate a photo they took in college. Reliving their college days dressed in their wedding attire was a special moment to witness. Jenna's dress was custom-made, which she accessorized with her fabulous "something blue" shoes.
Next, we headed to the Royal Park Hotel and met up with their wedding party before it was time for the ceremony. Jenna and Adam were calm but excited to make their commitment official and take the next step. They wrote their vows, which were so sweet and so heartfelt.
After the ceremony, the couple was soaking up every moment of quality time with their family and friends. Every detail of Jenna and Adam's wedding day was elegant and timeless from start to finish, with the perfect balance of tender romance and excitement.
When I asked what Jenna wanted to remember the most from the day, she said, "Our love for one another and time with the family and the friends who came to celebrate us." From their first look at the campus where they met to the speeches their fathers gave honoring them, Jenna and Adam's day was filled with ,joy, laughter, and love.
Congratulations, Jenna and Adam! Your adventure together is just beginning and I look forward to watching where your life takes you together!
