As I am excitedly anticipating a wedding today, I couldn't help but think of these two. I am looking forward to documenting their big day next summer and I know that the love and excitement I captured last week at their engagement session will only be magnified then.
Meet Joe + Anne. The engagement session started at their beautiful home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. We walked down to the beach, where the laughs had just begun! There is nothing better than whispers and sandy toes.
I also had the opportunity to capture these two at home with their very special dogs. Anne volunteers at Paws for Life Animal Rescue and has been able to foster and adapt some amazing animals. You wouldn't know it from looking at these sweet animals that they've had a rough past. But thanks to Joe and Anne's big hearts and tender love, they're right at home. I felt right at home along with them, capturing them interact with each other.
Following all the dog love, we headed over to the beautiful Pier Park in Grosse Pointe Farms. With the setting sun came a light breeze which was much needed on this humid, Michigan day. They danced on the dock and walked along the pier. And when Anne asked to jump in the boat, I was all in. They hopped in the dinghy and the little boat offered the perfect space for Joe and Anne to cozy up to one another. And last moments of their evening were spent cuddled up, overlooking the water as the sun set behind them.
So cheers to you, Joe + Anne! I can't wait to see what adventures your wedding has in store!
Artfully,
Nicole Lashar
