You know you have a lot of love and support surrounding you in your marriage when the Priest says your first kiss as husband and wife earned the loudest applause he's ever heard! For Jaclyn and Joe, this was just the start to a beautiful June wedding day at The Inn at St. John's. It was my first wedding of the season and it could not have been more beautiful!
Jaclyn was calm but excited as she got ready with her bridal party in the morning. She is very organized so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do and it allowed her to enjoy her time preparing for the day. Jaclyn's mom helped her get dressed and as the only daughter in her family, the moment was even more meaningful. Then she was off to see Joe for their first look in the beautiful corridor, which is lined with tall windows allowing the natural light to pour in. Usually, the Inn at St. John's is a busy place on the weekends, but we were able to find an area without anyone else. Jaclyn and Joe were able to share a few quiet moments together before we ventured out to the courtyard. The rest of the wedding party also joined us to capture some photos outside. The men were a lively and fun group who were cheering Joe on every step of the day, it was nice to see the camaraderie and support between the guys. Jaclyn had two matrons of honor, who I kept mistaking for her sisters because they all are so close. Seeing the couple surrounded by their closest friends sharing the joy of the day is always so sweet to witness.
The second Jaclyn and Joe sealed their marriage with a kiss, the party began! And yes, I can attest to the roar of applause at the end of their ceremony and it was a very sweet moment filled with so much love and excitement. The guests made their way to The Grande Ballroom, which was decorated with classic white florals and linens complemented by gold details. Classy and timeless, just like Jaclyn and Joe!
It is a running joke in Jaclyn's family that the first weekend in June is the best weekend to get married because the weather is always gorgeous. This came to be after other family members got married the first weekend in June and always have beautiful weather when celebrating their anniversary. Whether that's true or not, it was indeed the perfect day for Jaclyn and Joe's wedding day.
