On a breezy sunny June day, Kacie and Evan said "I do" at The Willows Barn Venue at Blakney Farms in New Boston, Michigan. Kacie's mom helped her get ready with her bridesmaids while Evan hung out with his groomsmen, some of which were longtime childhood friends. Kacie looked stunning in her classic A-line wedding dress and was the most chill bride. It is always great when a bride is able to relax and truly enjoy the day. She then had a first look with her dad at the gazebo before walking down the aisle to see her groom. The ceremony was centered around their faith and sharing the sacred commitment they were making to each other with their closest family and friends.
After the ceremony, we ventured around the barn for portraits and photos with the wedding party. The Willows Barn is a new venue that opened in 2021 and is located on over 60 acres of fully functioning farmland owned by the Blakney family. It is perfect for couples wanting a barn-style wedding but with the modern conveniences that traditional barn venues don't always offer.
Beneath the string lights and crystal chandeliers, the barn was decorated beautifully. Classic eucalyptus greenery and candles filled the room with an elegant and romantic atmosphere. I loved capturing Kacie and Evan together, they are so loving with each other and I could tell they were having fun soaking up every part of the day. Seeing them smiling and laughing together was contagious in the best way. Their first dance together was very sweet and when Kacie and her dad shared their dance together, I'll admit, I got a little emotional. These special moments remind me why I love being a wedding photographer, it's so special to witness couples with their family and friends on one of the happiest days of their life. When the DJ cleared the dance floor for the anniversary dance, the longest-married couple dancing at the end was Kacie's grandparents who have shared 50 years of marriage together! How incredible is that!
