I am putting the past week behind me to focus on all the things beautiful and bright around me. For those of you who know me personally, you know what an insane week it has been. But this weekend was a turning point; I attended a wedding of two close friends. The wedding not only reminded me of how much love is in the world, but it was also a reunion of some wonderful people. The two that were married, who were introduced to me by my husband, are a part of a collective group of truly beautiful souls. A unique group of friends with diverse personalities, different lifestyles, and diverging paths. Nevertheless, when we get together, we become one happy, slightly dysfunctional, family.
Spending the little bit of time I did with these humans over the weekend made me think back to the first official family of the group. Our good friends, Cait and David, had the first little one out of the all the friends. I had the opportunity of documenting their pregnancy before their precious little girl was brought into the world. And while Eleanor is now over a year old, these photographs still remind me of the love between these two and the excitement they had before her birth.
David and Cait have displayed so much love for their daughter over the past year. These images show just a glimpse of that love and joy. These two, along with others in our group, joke that we will be next for our own bundle of joy. I can assure you that this is not an announcement. I am looking forward to that stage of life one day, but until then, take a look at these two loves.
