Alissa and Danny tied the knot in a beautiful and intimate fall wedding in the heart of Metro Detroit. The couple originally planned on a summer wedding but fall was the only time with availability, so they switched it up. Patience worked in their favor though, it was 75 degrees, sunny, and felt like a sweet summer day.
Alissa wore a classic bridal look, an elegant a-line dress accessorized with diamonds and pearls. Her dress was the first one she tried on. They say shopping for a wedding dress is similar to choosing a partner when you know it's the one, you know! Alissa carried a charm of her late grandma on her bridal bouquet and her handkerchief is a family heirloom. After the recent loss of her grandma, it was important to both Alissa and Danny that their families were incorporated into their day as much as possible. Once she was ready, Alissa had a first look with her dad and then her groom. Danny was so attentive to Alissa and made sure her every need was taken care of throughout the day, especially assisting with her dress as we walked around the church grounds. Seeing them both so loving toward one another and sharing a few quiet moments together before their ceremony made my heart swoon. And while it may have felt like summer, the fall colors were beautiful and vibrant. It was the best of both worlds!
Alissa and Danny chose Alissa's grandfather to be the officiant of their ceremony, which was at The Church of Jesus Christ in Chesterfield. It was a ceremony full of personal sentiments, wisdom, and emotions that made their vows to each other that much more meaningful. After the ceremony, the couple was joined by their wedding party to capture some photos before heading to Da Francesco's Italian Ristorante in Shelby Township for a luncheon reception. Alissa made and set up all the decor herself and the room looked wonderful and embraced the fall aesthetic. After their grand entrance, they cut into their cake and shared their first dance as husband and wife. Once Alissa shared a dance with her dad and Danny with his mom, they were able to mingle with guests for a bit before enjoying lunch.
I am so happy I was able to document your special day, Alissa and Danny! I am wishing you many happy memories in your next chapter of life together!
