Morgan and Lucas are a fun-loving couple and their engagement session felt just like having a drink with friends. Since Morgan and Lucas are brewery fans and visit the Farmington Brewing Company often, it felt natural to capture them in one of their favorite spots. They began trying different breweries while in college at Michigan Tech and have continued the tradition. While having a beer together, we chatted about wedding planning and how Lucas was the one to pick out their wedding colors. I loved hearing about their plans and it reminded me how my husband, Ben, picked our wedding colors, too.
We strolled through Downtown Farmington, capturing them along the way through the nearby parks, Riley Park and Shiawassee Park, where Lucas almost proposed. Lucas instead ended up proposing at home with their cat, Cactus, but we couldn't resist documenting a few moments where the proposal almost happened. While documenting moments in Riley Park, there was music playing over the speakers at the farmer's market so I had Morgan and Lucas stop to dance together and they reminisced about the dance class they took together in college. They didn’t miss a beat! I am so glad I got to spend the afternoon with Morgan and Lucas, and am looking forward to capturing their wedding in the fall!
