On an overcast evening just before the sunset, I met Hope and Lee at Quarton Lake in Birmingham. The colors of the trees popped against the grey sky as the cool evening breeze brushed our faces. It was the perfect place for their engagement session because they love to enjoy walks there together. It’s their little spot and I loved capturing them in it.
As we were talking and I was taking photographs, I was admiring Hope’s ring. I always love hearing the “ring story” because it gives me a little glimpse into their lives. Hope’s beautiful ring was made from the wedding band of her Dad’s ring and a diamond that Lee chose. I love how sentimental and special that ring is! I made sure to highlight her ring as I continued documenting them!
We walked around and listened to Ed Sheeran, their favorite and mine! It was like hanging out with friends and that’s why I absolutely love the work that I do! They swayed to the music while “Perfect” played and when “Beautiful People” came on, Hope and I both agreed how much we love that song! There was silly dancing, talk about our love of pizza, and lots of Polaroid photographs.
I can’t wait to capture them again for their wedding in July! But until then, take a peek at Hope and Lee’s beautiful fall engagement session!
All my love,
