For Brittany and James, who originally planned to get married last February, their winter wedding was a day they have been looking forward to for a while. It was a stunning wedding filled with sweet moments and joy. Thank you to my associate photographer, Sammy, for capturing Brittany and James' wedding day while I am on maternity leave. Brittany said, "If our wedding was a theme, it would be 'Made with Love.' From the bouquet hoop and the invites, down to the favors, everything is handmade by my amazing family and myself." Love was certainly the theme of the day, in every possible way.
When trying on wedding dresses, Brittany just felt it wasn’t “her” and chose to go with a sequin top and blush tulle skirt instead. She looked absolutely fabulous and I love when brides stay true to their own style. For their first look, Brittany and James met at Cherry Creek Golf Club, their wedding venue, in the room where their reception was set up. It was a beautiful location away from Michigan's bitterly cold winter weather. Brittany and James were able to enjoy a sweet dance together and bask in the winter sun streaming through the ballroom windows. Their wedding party joined them and in lieu of flower bouquets, the ladies had unique bouquet hoops made with stunning paper and wooden flowers that we handcrafted by Brittany's aunt. After capturing all their friends and family together, it was time for Brittany and James to make it official and meet each other down the aisle to say "I do." Their good friend, Nissa, officiated the ceremony.
The reception room was decorated with an elegant pairing of greenery and natural textures with gold accents. All of the centerpieces were designed and handmade by the couple using lanterns, feathers, and florals. You can tell Brittany has an eye for beautiful details! Once making their grand entrance, Brittany and James shared their first official dance as husband and wife followed by touching speeches from their matron of honor and best man. James' grandfather Art lead the dinner prayer just as the sun began to set and filled the room with an amber glow. As soon as dinner finished, Brittany shared a dance with her dad and the dance floor was ready to party. For favors, the couple gifted each guest a handmade cup koozie wrapped around a little book of their favorite recipes, what a beautiful personal way to thank everyone for sharing in their day!
Congratulations, Brittany and James! Wishing you a lifetime of beautiful moments and happy memories made with love along the way!
