Chelsea and Kaleb's wedding day was on a beautiful spring day, sunny with only a sprinkling of rain. Their wedding was held at a family home which made the day that much more memorable. The day was filled with faith, family, and fun friends!
The day started with Chelsea at the AirBnB as she and her bridesmaids got ready together, they were all wearing matching tie-dye pajamas and were buzzing with excitement for the day. Chelsea looked stunning and completely at ease as her mom helped her get ready. Chelsea's jewelry was exceptionally beautiful, some of it was gifted from Paris, and I photographed it on a sentimental family chest that will be a keepsake for many years to come. Meanwhile, Kaleb was having a good time getting ready with his brothers and groomsmen at the hotel nearby.
Before the ceremony, Chelsea and Kaleb shared a beautiful moment together. Instead of a first look, the two stood side by side, holding hands, while Kaleb prayed for the day and their marriage. Chelsea said this helped calm their nerves and it was a testament to how much Chelsea and Kaleb value their faith. During their ceremony, together they tied a unity cord, which is made of three cords. This symbolized Chelsea, Kaleb, and God and how these three together are not easily broken. They also sang two meaningful hymns during the ceremony, How Great Thou Art and Come Thou Fount. After sealing their vows with a kiss, it was time to celebrate and party! These two know how to have a good time and were excited to celebrate with everyone.
With BBQ wafting through the air thanks to Q It Up Catering, we finished documenting their portraits and headed to the reception for their grand entrance. The tent was lit up with hanging lights and filled with crisp greenery and gold place settings at every table. It was the perfect backdrop for Chelsea and Kaleb’s special celebration. They mentioned they were excited to see how everything came together and to see everyone they love gathered in one place. Chelsea commented how fast the day seemed to be going and one of her bridesmaids provided the same great advice I provide to my couples, take a moment to stop, look around, and soak in the moment. Your wedding day is the last day that you want to get lost in the hustle and busyness of the day.
Chelsea and Kaleb were sure to take in all the moments and say hello to their guests. Following dinner, they greeted friends and family before sharing a beautiful first dance to I Got You by Jack Johnson. Tony from Ground Zero Productions kept the party going while we captured some sunset photos and Chelsea and Kaleb enjoyed one of their favorite activities, golfing! It was only fitting they hit a few drives across the lake on their wedding day, just like their engagement session. Looking back at the tent of their closest family and friends, everyone dancing, laughing, and mingling, we re-joined the party as it was nearing time for Chelsea and Kaleb's sparkler send-off. It was a fun and beautiful moment to have everyone gathered and cheering for them!
So, cheers to you, Chelsea and Kaleb! I wish you both the best as you start your life together in your new home sweet home in Alabama!
