It was a walk down memory lane for Kacie and Austin's Belle Isle engagement session. We headed back to where their proposal took place to reminisce and also dream about their future together. Kacie and Austin included their daughter, Amelia, who was a burst of sunshine and kept us all laughing throughout the session. We made sure to take photos in front of the conservatory because Amelia loves flowers and of course, we had to stop to check out the koi fish, which are also Austin's favorite.
As we explored Belle Isle, Kacie and Austin told me about the night they got engaged. They had ventured to Belle Isle for date night and stopped to enjoy the best parmesan cheese fries they've ever had from the Chicken Coupe food truck. Kacie said she remembers enjoying her fries and looking at the iconic water fountain just before Austin proposed. You can call it serendipity or coincidence, but the Chicken Coupe food truck was back while we were there, so you know we had to capture the moment! I have to take a moment to highlight Kacie's beautiful ring. It is a classic solitaire stone and since she loves emeralds, her stone is of course an emerald. It is stunning and looks beautiful on her, especially with her hazel eyes.
Even though Belle Isle was busy with lots of preparations for the Detroit Grand Prix, we enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather and venturing around the park. I loved spending time with Kacie and Austin, they are the sweetest couple. Their love for each other and Amelia is so pure. I cannot wait to capture the next chapter of their love story at their wedding in November!
All my love,
