Zeinab and Hassan's winter wedding at Greenfield Manor Banquet in Dearborn was stunning. Their day was filled with so much excitement, love, and an outpouring of support from their family and friends. Just like their engagement session, their wedding celebration was filled with beautiful, intimate moments and the sweetest interactions. I had the pleasure of documenting Zeinab and Hassan's engagement session in Downtown Detroit over the summer.
I was excitedly anticipating capturing their wedding, but my pregnancy had other plans. Thankfully, I'm a part of an amazing photography community and Shelby from Monnette Co. was the associate photographer for their wedding. She captured them authentically, focusing on their emotions and making them feel comfortable, just like I would have! Zeinab and Hassan loved her and were also thankful for how she made them feel on their day. Their parents even commented that Shelby handled everything eloquently!
Their day began at Zeinab's home with her parents. Her mom helped with her finishing touches, while Hassan's mom put on his boutonniere. Hassan and Zeinab's father had a sweet moment together before heading outside for the first look. Zeinab was escorted by her father outside to meet Hassan surrounded by their family. It was an exciting moment filled with so much energy as their family clapped and cheered for them.
Before heading to the Detroit Library, Zeinab and Hassan took a moment to warm up with some hot chocolate. Zeinab's mom created the cutest hot chocolate station to keep everyone toasty on their cold, Michigan winter day. You couldn't tell that it was below freezing as these two looked warm and cozy wrapped in each other's arms. As the sun was setting, they left the library and headed off to the Fisher Building to capture some more portraits inside. The dramatic lighting paired beautifully with the marble, brass, and stunning mosaics. The Fisher Building, a work of art in itself, was the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous couple.
Following their portraits, it was finally time to celebrate their marriage with family and friends at Greenfield Manor. Zeinab and Hassan made their grand entrance even grander with sparklers and drummers. As they entered their reception, the Zaffa began. Their nieces and nephews, the beautiful flower children, stood nearby watching the excitement as Zeinab and Hassan danced to the beat of the drums. Shortly after, their family flooded the dance floor to celebrate and dance with them. They were lifted in the air as the dancing continued with vibrant energy. You can truly feel the excitement and joy of the celebration from the photographs.
After dinner, they shared special dances with their parents and they had the most beautiful first dance. Their first dance was dreamy with cloud-like smoke and sparklers to set the stage as they twirled around. But, that wasn't the end of the dancing! Once again, their family and friends surrounded them and the party continued. Before their exit, Grandma gave a speech and their family clapped as the drums beat once again to see them off. Zeinab and Hassan walked out with their friends and family cheering behind them and Hassan even swept Zeinab off of her feet, creating the sweetest moment filled with laughter.
